Celui qui a tranché même la tête de Brahmā est le géniteur de celui-là, et aussi son fils ; et le fils de ce géniteur est également le régulateur, même de Viṣṇu.

Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Kālāntaka
Cosmic Event: Assertion of Śiva’s supremacy: chastisement of Brahmā (head-severing motif) and regulation of Viṣṇu within cosmic administration.
It asserts Shiva (Pati) as the supreme ordainer who transcends and governs even cosmic deities like Brahma and Vishnu, directing creation, sustenance, and dissolution toward liberation.
By presenting Shiva as the ultimate niyāmaka (controller), it supports Saguna Shiva worship—especially the Linga—as the accessible form through which devotees approach the transcendent Lord who regulates all divine functions.
The takeaway is surrender and remembrance of Shiva’s lordship through japa of the Panchākṣarī ("Om Namaḥ Śivāya") and steady meditation on Shiva as the inner controller (antaryāmin) of all beings.
