The verse teaches dharmic completeness in worship: honoring not only revered figures but also their consorts, recognizing that household life and lineage-supporting śakti are to be respected as part of the sacred order under Shiva’s sovereignty.
In Saguna Shiva worship, devotion is expressed through right conduct (ācāra) alongside ritual. Honoring those connected to the sacred narrative—here, the wives named—supports purity of intention and humility, which are considered offerings to Shiva, the Pati who grants grace.
It implies orderly pūjā (yathākramam) and reverential remembrance (smaraṇa) of sacred persons; as a takeaway, one may perform Shiva-pūjā with the Panchakshara mantra and include respectful salutations to the associated lineage/companions named in the text.
