Agnikārya and Homa Procedure
संसृज्य दर्भैस्तौ वह्नौ संताप्य प्रोक्षयेत्पुनः । पारार्षर्च्यस्वसूत्रोक्तक्रमेण शिवपूर्वकैः
saṃsṛjya darbhaistau vahnau saṃtāpya prokṣayetpunaḥ | pārārṣarcyasvasūtroktakrameṇa śivapūrvakaiḥ
Après avoir disposé ces deux feux sacrés avec l’herbe darbha, qu’il les allume pleinement puis les asperge de nouveau d’eau consacrée. Ensuite, suivant l’ordre enseigné dans son propre sūtra rituel, qu’il honore la lignée des ṛṣi (pārārṣa), en commençant par le Seigneur Śiva.

It emphasizes śuddhi (purification) and krama (right order) in worship: the sacred fires are prepared and sanctified, and the act is rooted in reverence to the spiritual lineage, with Śiva acknowledged as the supreme source.
By prescribing orderly ritual acts—fire preparation, sprinkling, and worship—it supports Saguna Śiva-upāsanā where Śiva is approached through consecrated rites, purity, and lineage-sanctioned procedure that culminates in Śiva’s grace.
A fire-based rite (two vahnīs) using darbha, followed by prokṣaṇa (sprinkling for sanctification) and then worship according to one’s authorized sūtra—honoring the ṛṣi-paramparā with Śiva placed first.
