dvārasya paścimasyāgramaṇḍale dakṣiṇasya vā | darbhāsane samāsīnaṃ vidhāyodaṅmukhaṃ śiśum

Seat the practitioner (here, a child) on a darbha/kuśa grass seat and face north, a traditional orientation used in many Vedic-Puranic rites to steady the mind and align the worshipper for mantra and puja.
