शिवसंस्कार-दीक्षानिरूपणम् (Śivasaṃskāra and the Typology of Dīkṣā)
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pashu
Significance: Frames dharmic marital/ethical order as compatible with Śiva-dharma; removes guilt (doṣa) and stabilizes the devotee’s path through right conduct.
Role: nurturing
It distinguishes social blame from ultimate spiritual reality: when an action aligns with dharma and is not driven by coercion, the “fault” attributed to dependence is not spiritually substantial in the highest sense—purity of intention and dharmic alignment matter.
Linga-worship emphasizes inner sincerity (bhāva) and dharmic steadiness; this verse supports the Shaiva view that true merit and fault are measured by alignment with Shiva-dharma and inner disposition, not merely external judgments.
A practical takeaway is to steady the mind in dharma and offer one’s intent to Shiva through japa of the Panchakshara (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”), cultivating inner clarity rather than anxiety over worldly accusations.
