Bhadra’s Onslaught among the Deva Hosts
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Vīrabhadra
It portrays Rudra’s sovereign power: even the devas are not independent, and divine wrath functions as Shiva’s purifying force that dissolves pride and restores dharma under Pati’s governance.
The verse highlights Saguna Shiva—Rudra with the trident—whose tangible divine action protects cosmic order; Linga-worship internalizes this truth by honoring Shiva as the source and controller behind all manifested powers.
Meditate on Rudra as the inner remover of ego and fear while chanting the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya); offer vibhuti (Tripundra) and contemplate the trishula as symbolizing mastery over the three guṇas.
