Alors il forma une intelligence pénétrante, qui mène à la certitude de la vérité. Pour le bien et l’accroissement des êtres, il faut s’approcher de Parameśvara (Śiva) et l’interroger.
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Dakṣiṇāmūrti
Role: teaching
It teaches that true discernment (buddhi) culminates in certainty about reality, and that for the uplift of all beings one should turn to Parameśvara (Śiva) as the highest source of guidance—Pati who removes bondage through right knowledge and grace.
“Questioning Parameśvara” is practically fulfilled by approaching Śiva in worship—often through the Linga as Saguna support—seeking clear understanding of dharma, devotion, and liberation, which then matures into knowledge of Śiva’s supreme nature.
The verse implies inquiry grounded in devotion: approach Śiva with prayer and contemplation, and support that inquiry with mantra-japa (especially the Panchākṣarī, Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and steady meditation on Śiva as the inner teacher.
