Classification of Creation: the Nine Sargas and the Streams of Beings

तस्मिन् ब्रह्मवने ऽव्यक्तो ब्रह्मा चरति सर्ववित् । अव्यक्तबीजप्रभव ईश्वरानुग्रहे स्थितः । बुद्धिस्कंधमहाशाख इन्द्रियांतरकोटरः । महाभूतप्रमाणश्च विशेषामलपल्लवः

tasmin brahmavane 'vyakto brahmā carati sarvavit | avyaktabījaprabhava īśvarānugrahe sthitaḥ | buddhiskaṃdhamahāśākha indriyāṃtarakoṭaraḥ | mahābhūtapramāṇaśca viśeṣāmalapallavaḥ

Dans cette forêt de Brahman, Brahmā—l’Omniscient—se meut comme l’Inmanifesté (Avyakta). Né de la semence de l’Inmanifesté, il ne demeure que par la grâce du Seigneur (Īśvara). Son tronc est le principe de l’intellect (buddhi), ses grandes branches sont les évoluts; ses cavités intérieures sont l’activité secrète des sens. Sa mesure est celle des grands éléments, et ses feuilles sont les différenciations pures (viśeṣa).
