It presents Shiva as the supreme regulator (Pati) who restores order when minds fall into delusion and conflict, assigning each being its rightful dharma so the soul can move from bondage (pāśa) toward clarity and liberation.
By portraying the Lord as the one who governs creation, preservation, and dissolution, it supports Saguna Shiva devotion—worship of the Linga as the visible sign of the transcendent Lord who stabilizes the cosmos and the devotee’s inner life.
The practical takeaway is disciplined āchāra: daily Shiva-smarana with the Panchakshara mantra (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), supported by purity and steadiness (optionally Tripuṇḍra bhasma and rudrāksha), to overcome mental moha and rivalry.
