शिवस्तुतिवर्णनम् (Śiva-stuti-varṇanam) — “Description of Hymns in Praise of Śiva”
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Umāpati
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: nurturing
It highlights Śiva’s karuṇā (compassionate grace): even amid conflict, the Lord remains serene and turns toward the devas with a saving, benevolent intent—showing that divine grace, not mere force, restores dharma.
The verse presents Saguna Śiva—Pārvatīpati, Hara—whose compassionate glance and spoken word guide and protect. In Linga-worship, devotees approach this same gracious Lord, seeking anugraha (blessing) through devotion and surrender.
Meditate on Śiva’s “kṛpā-dṛṣṭi” (gracious gaze) while chanting the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), cultivating a calm, deep inner speech and compassion—qualities mirrored in Śiva’s gaṃbhīra-vāc (grave, steady utterance).
