Tripura Dīkṣā: Prescriptive Procedure
Chapter on the Ordinance of Initiation
Lord Shiva
Tattva Level: pati
Role: liberating
Offering: pushpa
The verse highlights Shiva as the supreme Pati who empowers a being born of His own essence to fulfill divine will; Shiva’s grace (anugraha) both assigns sacred duty and confers lasting honor through worship-worthiness.
It reflects Saguna Shiva’s personal agency: the Lord who is worshipped also establishes who is to be honored in His cosmic order. Such reverence ultimately leads back to Shiva as the source, as in Linga-worship where all sanctity proceeds from Him.
The takeaway is seva-bhāva (devotional service) aligned with Shiva’s will—practically expressed through daily Shiva-pūjā with mantra-japa (e.g., Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and offering reverence to Shiva’s divine order and attendants.
