Tripura Dīkṣā: Prescriptive Procedure
Chapter on the Ordinance of Initiation
Lord Vishnu
Tattva Level: pati
The verse emphasizes divine intentionality: a being is manifested for a specific purpose under the Lord’s will. From a Shaiva Siddhanta lens, it echoes that all roles in the cosmic drama unfold under higher governance, guiding beings toward dharma and ultimately liberation.
By affirming “you are of my form,” the text highlights Saguna theology—God’s presence expressed through recognizable forms and missions. This supports Linga/Saguna worship as a valid means to approach the transcendent Lord through manifested grace and divine function.
A practical takeaway is contemplative japa with surrender: repeat the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) while reflecting, “My life has a divinely guided purpose,” cultivating humility and readiness to act in alignment with dharma.
