D’elle, de lui, naquirent les fils Priyavrata et, de même, Uttānapāda ; et encore, trois filles également.

Tattva Level: pasha
Shiva Form: Sadyojāta
Cosmic Event: secondary creation/population of the world through Manu’s lineage
It situates worldly lineage within the larger Shaiva vision of sṛṣṭi (creation): embodied life proceeds through dharma-ordered progeny, yet its higher purpose is to mature the soul toward Pati (Śiva) through right conduct and devotion.
Though genealogical, it belongs to the Sṛṣṭi narrative where creation unfolds under the Lord’s governance; in Shaiva Siddhānta, such order is ultimately upheld by Saguna Śiva (as Pati), who makes the world a field for gradual purification leading to Linga-centered worship and liberation.
No specific rite is stated; a fitting takeaway is regular śravaṇa (listening/recitation) of the Rudra Saṃhitā with japa of the Pañcākṣarī—“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—to align worldly duties with Śiva-bhakti.
