Cosmic Event: institution of vivāha and maithuna as regulated mechanism for human propagation—pravṛtti aligned to dharma within māyā’s domain.
It presents creation (sarga) as proceeding through dharma—specifically, through the sanctified rite of marriage—showing that worldly life becomes spiritually aligned when governed by righteous order, ultimately supporting the soul’s journey toward Shiva’s grace.
Though the verse narrates social-creative order, it reflects Saguna Shiva’s governance of cosmic functions: when household life follows dharma, it harmonizes with Shiva’s sustaining power, making the grihastha path supportive of devotion and disciplined worship.
The implied practice is adherence to vivāha-vidhi and grihastha-dharma; as a Shaiva takeaway, one may pair righteous living with daily Shiva worship—japa of “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” and respectful observance of purity and vows—so creation-oriented duties remain spiritually consecrated.
