Sthala Purana: Colophon only: marks the completion of the chapter ‘Vasaṃtasvarūpa-varṇana’ within Satīkhaṇḍa; no specific jyotirliṅga-sthala narrative here.
Significance: Textual tīrtha: pāraṇa/paṭhana of a completed adhyāya is traditionally considered meritorious (śravaṇa-phala), especially when centered on Śiva-līlā.
This is a colophon marking the completion of a chapter; spiritually it emphasizes śāstra-śravaṇa (reverent listening) and orderly transmission of Shiva’s sacred narrative, which Shaiva tradition regards as purifying and devotion-awakening.
Though not a ritual instruction itself, the colophon situates the teaching within Rudra-saṃhitā’s devotional framework, where Saguna Shiva is approached through story, praise, and contemplative remembrance—supporting Linga-worship as a lived practice grounded in scripture.
The implied practice is pāraṇa of kathā-śravaṇa/paṭhana—listening to or reciting the Shiva Purana with devotion; one may conclude with mental salutation to Shiva (Śiva-smaraṇa) and a brief japa of “Om Namaḥ Śivāya.”
