Devas and Śiva’s Gaṇas Engage in Battle

Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Role: teaching
The verse teaches that Sadāśiva is realized not by mere intellect but through inner stillness (śānti) and a changeless spiritual vision, culminating in Shiva’s anugraha (grace), which is central to Shaiva Siddhānta.
Linga and saguna worship steady the mind and purify perception; when devotion matures into nirvikāra-dṛṣṭi (unshaken awareness), the devotee recognizes the same Lord as Sadāśiva, known fully by His grace.
It points to meditation that cultivates śānti and a steady, fluctuation-free awareness—supported by Shiva-upāsanā such as japa of the Panchākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and contemplative focus on the Linga, seeking Shiva’s anugraha.
