Consecration/Installation
Suta Goswami (narrating to the sages of Naimisharanya in the Rudrasaṃhitā context)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
It shows that when dharma is to be protected, all divine powers unite, yet the decisive sanctifying power is Śiva’s grace—symbolized by the Śūla—through which the righteous mission becomes effective.
The verse highlights Saguna Śiva as Īśa who actively bestows protection and शक्ति. In Linga-worship, devotees remember the same Lord as the source of all auspicious power that removes obstacles and establishes order.
A practical takeaway is to pray for Śiva’s empowering grace through japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and to cultivate inner discipline (upāya) alongside devotion—uniting effort with surrender.
