Description of the Birth/Manifestation of Śiva’s Son
Brahma
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
The verse highlights Śiva as Parameśvara who listens to the devotee’s plea and responds with a calm, gracious heart—showing that liberation and protection arise through His compassion (anugraha) toward the afflicted.
By portraying Śambhu as personally responsive and merciful, the verse supports Saguna-upāsanā: devotees approach Śiva through tangible worship—such as the Liṅga—trusting His accessible grace and protective presence.
The practical takeaway is śaraṇāgati (taking refuge) expressed through simple daily Śiva worship—offering water to the Liṅga and japa of the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” seeking Śiva’s compassionate response.
