Là, tandis que les deux parents les cajolaient et les chérissaient avec amour, leur bonheur s’accrut immensément. Toujours remplis d’affection et de joie, les deux fils ne cessaient de jouer et de s’ébattre.

The verse highlights divine “līlā” as a sacred expression of harmony: when love (prīti) is steady, joy (mudā) naturally increases. In a Shaiva Siddhanta lens, such auspicious domestic order reflects Shiva’s grace working in the realm of embodied life, making the home a field for dharma and devotion.
By portraying affectionate, personal divinity through the divine family, the text supports Saguna Shiva-bhakti—approaching Shiva as near, compassionate, and present in life’s relationships. This complements Linga worship, where the same Supreme is adored both as transcendent (Nirguna) and accessible through loving devotion (Saguna).
The practical takeaway is cultivating prīti and mudā through daily Shiva-bhakti: japa of the Panchakshara mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” offering simple worship to the Shiva Linga, and maintaining a sattvic, affectionate household mood as a form of lived sadhana.
