गोजिन्नः सोमो रथजिद्धिरण्यजित्स्वर्जिदब्जित्पवते सहस्रजित् । यं देवासश्चक्रिरे पीतये मदं स्वादिष्ठं द्रप्समरुणं मयोभुवम् ॥
go-jín naḥ sómo ratha-jíd hiraṇyá-jít svaḥ-jíd abjít pavate sahasra-jít | yáṃ devā́saś cakriré pītáye mádaṃ svā́diṣṭhaṃ drápsam aruṇáṃ mayo-bhúvam ||
Notre Soma coule, vainqueur des vaches (des rayons), vainqueur du char, vainqueur de l’or, vainqueur du monde lumineux, vainqueur des eaux, vainqueur du millier. Les dieux l’ont façonné pour être bu comme ivresse—comme extase : la goutte la plus douce, rougeoyante, porteuse de bienfaits.
