एतावतस्त ईमह इन्द्र सुम्नस्य गोमतः । यथा प्रावो मघवन्मेध्यातिथिं यथा नीपातिथिं धने ॥

etā́vatas te īmahe índra sumnásya gómataḥ | yáthā prā́vo maghavan médhyā́tithiṃ yáthā nī́pā́tithiṃ dháne ||

C’est une telle part de ta grâce que nous implorons, ô Indra — une grâce riche de « vaches » lumineuses (rayons de connaissance). Comme jadis tu protégeas Medhyātithi, ô généreux, comme tu protégeas Nīpātithi dans l’acquisition de la plénitude (dhana).
