अग्निः शुचिव्रततमः शुचिर्विप्रः शुचिः कविः । शुची रोचत आहुतः ॥

agniḥ śúci-vrata-tamaḥ śucír vipráḥ śúciḥ kavíḥ | śucī́ rocate ā́-hutaḥ ||

Agni, le plus parfait dans le vœu de pureté, pur dans la vision, pur comme le penseur inspiré, pur comme le voyant-poète ; invoqué et honoré par l’offrande, il resplendit dans la conscience.
