Sukta 8.37
क्षत्राय त्वमवसि न त्वमाविथ शचीपत इन्द्र विश्वाभिरूतिभिः । माध्यंदिनस्य सवनस्य वृत्रहन्ननेद्य पिबा सोमस्य वज्रिवः ॥
kṣatrā́ya tvám ávasi ná tvam ā́vitha śacī-pate índra víśvābhir ū́tibhiḥ | mādhyáṃdinasya sávanasya vṛtra-hann anédya píbā sómasya vajrivaḥ ||
Pour kṣatra, la puissance souveraine, tu accordes protection; nul autre que toi ne la protège, ô Indra Śacīpati, avec tous tes secours. Au pressurage de midi, ô Vṛtrahan, irréprochable, bois le Soma, ô Vajrin, porteur du foudre.
