Sukta 8.3
निरग्नयो रुरुचुर्निरु सूर्यो निः सोम इन्द्रियो रसः । निरन्तरिक्षादधमो महामहिं कृषे तदिन्द्र पौंस्यम् ॥
nír agnáyo rurucuḥ nír u sū́ryo níḥ sóma indriyó ráso | nír antárikṣād adhamo mahā́m áhíṃ kṛṣé tád indra paúṃsyam ||
Au-dehors resplendirent les feux ; au-dehors se leva le Soleil ; au-dehors coula Soma, la sève de la puissance d’Indra. Du monde intermédiaire tu as tiré d’en bas le grand Serpent : telle est, ô Indra, ta force virile, ta puissance victorieuse.
