बृहदु गायिषे वचोऽसुर्या नदीनाम् । सरस्वतीमिन्महया सुवृक्तिभिः स्तोमैर्वसिष्ठ रोदसी ॥

bṛhád u gāyiṣe váco 'suŕyā nadī́nām | sárasvatīm ín mahayā su-vṛ́kti-bhiḥ stómair vasiṣṭha ródasī ||

Un vaste verbe tu chanteras — la souveraine des fleuves parmi les fleuves. Oui, magnifie Sarasvatī par des paroles bien façonnées et des hymnes, ô Vasiṣṭha, jusqu’à ce que les deux mondes s’élargissent en toi.
