Sukta 7.83
वृत्राण्यन्यः समिथेषु जिघ्नते व्रतान्यन्यो अभि रक्षते सदा । हवामहे वां वृषणा सुवृक्तिभिरस्मे इन्द्रावरुणा शर्म यच्छतम् ॥
vṛtrā́ṇy anyáḥ samithéṣu jíghnate vratā́ny anyó abhí rakṣate sádā | havā́mahe vāṃ vṛṣaṇā suvṛ́ktibhir asmé indrāvaruṇā śárma yacchatam ||
L’un de vous abat, dans les combats, les voiles de Vṛtra ; l’autre garde sans cesse les vœux, les lois (vrata). Nous vous invoquons, ô taureaux puissants, par des paroles bien façonnées : accordez-nous, Indra et Varuṇa, l’abri et la paix (śarman).
