अदब्धेभिः सवितः पायुभिष्ट्वं शिवेभिरद्य परि पाहि नो गयम् । हिरण्यजिह्वः सुविताय नव्यसे रक्षा माकिर्नो अघशंस ईशत ॥
adábdhebhiḥ savitaḥ pāyúbhiṣ ṭváṃ śivébhir adyá pári pāhi no gáyam | híraṇyajihvaḥ suvitā́ya návyase rákṣā mā́kir no aghaśáṃsa īśata ||
Ô Savitar, par tes gardiens infaillibles, par tes protections bienveillantes, aujourd’hui entoure et garde notre force vitale. Ô à la langue d’or, pour un bien-être nouveau et lumineux, protège-nous : qu’aucun malveillant, aucun calomniateur, ne prenne empire sur nous.
