किं ते कृण्वन्ति कीकटेषु गावो नाशिरं दुह्रे न तपन्ति घर्मम् । आ नो भर प्रमगन्दस्य वेदो नैचाशाखं मघवन्रन्धया नः ॥
kíṃ te kṛṇvanti kī́kaṭeṣu gā́vo ná āśíraṃ duhré ná tapanti gharmám | ā́ no bhara prá-magandasya védो naicāśā́khaṃ maghavan randhayā naḥ ||
Que font tes rayons de lumière parmi les Kīkaṭa, là où les vaches ne tirent pas une riche essence et n’allument pas la tiédeur ardente du ghr̥ta ? Apporte-nous le Veda, la vraie connaissance, de celui qui se meut dans un parfum dévoyé ; et, ô Maghavan, soumets pour nous la pousse sans branche, étrangère, qui n’appartient pas à la lignée juste.
