Sukta 3.2
क्रत्वा दक्षस्य तरुषो विधर्मणि देवासो अग्निं जनयन्त चित्तिभिः । रुरुचानं भानुना ज्योतिषा महामत्यं न वाजं सनिष्यन्नुप ब्रुवे ॥
kratvā́ dákṣasya tárūṣo vídharmaṇi devā́so agníṁ janayanta cítti-bhiḥ | rurucānám bhānúnā jyótiṣā mahā́m atyáṁ ná vā́jaṁ saniṣyán úpa bruve ||
Par krátu, la volonté consciente, et par dákṣa, la puissance efficace et l’habileté, dans la loi ordonnée de l’œuvre juste (vi-dharmaṇi), les dieux font naître Agni par des perceptions lumineuses (citti). Lui qui resplendit de rayon et de clarté, grand comme un coursier de l’immensité, je l’invoque, en quête de vāja (force victorieuse, butin).
