Sukta 1.55
सो अर्णवो न नद्यः समुद्रियः प्रति गृभ्णाति विश्रिता वरीमभिः । इन्द्रः सोमस्य पीतये वृषायते सनात्स युध्म ओजसा पनस्यते ॥
só arṇavó na nádyaḥ samudriyáḥ práti gṛbhṇāti ví-śritā vārī́ma-bhiḥ | índraḥ sómasya pītáye vṛṣāyate sanā́t sá yudhmá ójasā panasyate ||
Comme l’océan reçoit les rivières, ainsi il recueille en lui les courants largement répandus par leur ampleur. Indra devient puissant pour boire le Soma ; depuis toujours, le guerrier se réjouit de la force — il croît par l’énergie qui conquiert la délectation.
