L’homme et le rākṣasa tiraient tous deux sans la moindre faute : avec vitesse, éclat et justesse parfaite, rendant le combat tumultueux et effroyable.
Both human and Rakshasa warriors fought an exceedingly frightening and dreadful fight over one another with agility without wasting a single arrow.
The verse juxtaposes excellence with moral direction: skill can be shared by dharmic and adharmic sides alike; dharma is determined by purpose, restraint, and alignment with truth—not by prowess alone.
The duel is described at peak intensity: both sides demonstrate flawless, rapid archery, making the fight terrifying to witness.
Technical excellence (dakṣatā) and focus (ekāgratā): neither wastes arrows, showing extreme concentration.
