The Lament under the Net of Arrows
नचातिक्रमितुंशक्यंदैवंसुग्रीव मानुषैः ।यत्तुशक्यंवयस्येनसुहृदाचपरन्तप ।।6.49.28।।कृतंसुग्रीव तत्सर्वंभवताधर्मभीरुणा ।
na cātikramituṃ śakyaṃ daivaṃ sugrīva mānuṣaiḥ | yat tu śakyaṃ vayasyena suhṛdā ca parantapa ||6.49.28|| kṛtaṃ sugrīva tat sarvaṃ bhavatā dharmabhīruṇā |
Ô Sugrīva, le destin ne peut être franchi par l’effort des hommes. Mais tout ce qu’un compagnon et un ami véritable pouvait accomplir—ô fléau des ennemis—tu l’as fait entièrement, avec droiture et respect du dharma.
