शुकवाक्यं (Śuka’s Report on the Vānara Host) / Śuka Describes the Allied Forces to Rāvaṇa
ब्राह्मणासममज्ञातावमृतप्राशिनापुभौ ।आशंसेतेयुथालङ्कामेतौमर्दितुमोजसा ।।6.28.7।।
brāhmaṇā samam anu-jñātāv amṛta-prāśinau ubhau |
āśaṃsete yūthā laṅkām etau marditum ojasā ||6.28.7||
Avec la permission de Brahmā, tous deux ont bu l’amṛta, le nectar d’immortalité ; chefs de troupes, ils espèrent, par la seule puissance de leur vigueur, écraser Laṅkā.
"They drank the nectar of immortality with the permission of Brahma. These leaders are aspiring to destroy Lanka by their prowess."
Power (even divinely granted) carries responsibility; immortality or boons do not justify adharma—strength is meant to protect right order, not arrogance.
Śuka continues briefing Rāvaṇa about the extraordinary capabilities of Mainda and Dvivida, including their divine boon-like immortality.
