Vibheeshana, having addressed Ravana in harsh language, reached Rama and Lakshmana in a short while.
Ravananuja refers to Vibhishana, the younger brother of Ravana, who chose to leave Lanka to join Rama.
It signifies his final attempt to counsel Ravana on Dharma and Truth (Satya). When his righteous counsel was rejected, he abandoned the path of Adharma to seek refuge with Rama.
