विभीषणाभिषेकः (Vibhīṣaṇa’s Consecration) and Hanumān’s Commission to Sītā
ततःस्त्वेकंघटंगृह्यसम्स्थाप्यपरमासने ।।।।घटेनतेनसौमित्रिरभ्यषिञ्चद्विभीषणम् ।लङ्कायांरक्षसांमध्येराजानंरामशासनात् ।।।।विधिनामन्त्रदृष्टेनसुहृद्गणसमावृतः ।
tataḥ stv ekaṃ ghaṭaṃ gṛhya saṃsthāpya paramāsane | ghaṭena tena saumitrir abhyaṣiñcad vibhīṣaṇam |
laṅkāyāṃ rakṣasāṃ madhye rājānaṃ rāma-śāsanāt | vidhinā mantra-dṛṣṭena suhṛd-gaṇa-samāvṛtaḥ ||
Alors, prenant un seul vase et installant Vibhīṣaṇa sur un trône éminent, Saumitri l’oignit avec l’eau de ce vase—sur l’ordre de Rāma—au milieu des Rākṣasas à Laṅkā, selon le rite prescrit par les śāstra et les mantras, tandis qu’il était entouré de ses amis dévoués.
Vibheeshana was made to sit on an excellent seat, surrounded by hosts of friends and dear ones. Thereafter, in the midst of Rakshasas chanting sacred verses in accordance with scriptures, Saumithri took a vessel of water and duly consecrated Vibhishana with the water in the vessel as commanded by Rama, in Lanka.
