हसंतं तं समालोक्य स सूदः कृपयान्वितः । सैरंध्री च कृपायुक्ता सूदं तं प्रत्यभाषत
hasaṃtaṃ taṃ samālokya sa sūdaḥ kṛpayānvitaḥ | sairaṃdhrī ca kṛpāyuktā sūdaṃ taṃ pratyabhāṣata
Le voyant sourire, le cuisinier, saisi de compassion, parla. Et la servante Sairandhrī, elle aussi pleine de pitié, s’adressa à ce cuisinier.
