Puis, s’étant rendu à Bhogavatī, et aussi au nord de Vāsuki, ce tīrtha est tenu pour suprême, connu sous le nom de Daśāśvamedhika.
Narada (tirtha-mahatmya narration in Uttara-Bhaga)
Vrata: none
Rasa: {"primary_rasa":"adbhuta","secondary_rasa":"shanta","emotional_journey":"Pilgrimage progression—moving onward to a supreme tīrtha whose very name promises multiplied sacrificial merit."}
It identifies Daśāśvamedhika as a ‘supreme’ tīrtha, implying that pilgrimage and worship there are regarded as exceptionally merit-giving, comparable in name to the sanctity associated with multiple Aśvamedha rites.
While it is primarily a tīrtha-direction verse, it supports bhakti indirectly by guiding devotees to a highly revered sacred site where acts like darśana, snāna, and pūjā are traditionally performed with devotion to attain spiritual merit.
It reflects Kalpa-oriented practical dharma (ritual culture) through the reference to Aśvamedha merit and tīrtha-mahātmyas—showing how Purāṇic guidance maps sacred geography to ritual efficacy.
