vaiśākhalokamāsādya tasyaivānucaro bhavet | jyeṣṭhamāse caturdaśyāṃ yo'rcayecchraddhayā haram || 18 ||
Celui qui, avec foi, adore Hari au caturdaśī du mois de Jyeṣṭha atteint le monde de Vaiśākha et devient Son serviteur.
Narada (teaching in Uttara-Bhaga Mahatmya/vrata context)
Vrata: Hari-caturdaśī worship (month-specific observance)
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It teaches that time-specific devotion—worship of Hari on Jyeṣṭha caturdaśī performed with śraddhā—yields a defined spiritual fruit: attainment of a meritorious realm (Vaiśākha-loka) and service to the Lord as His attendant.
Bhakti is emphasized through the requirement of śraddhā (faithful intent) in arcana (ritual worship). The result is not merely worldly merit but closeness to Hari—expressed as becoming His anucara (servitor).
It highlights calendrical discipline (tithi and māsa observance), aligning worship with the lunar day caturdaśī in Jyeṣṭha—an application of Jyotiṣa-style time-reckoning used for vrata and ritual scheduling.
