The Exposition of the Maheśa Mantra

Mahēśa-mantra-prakāśana

श्मशानभस्माचितांते शरण्याय ततः परम् । घंटाकपालमालादिधरायेति पदं पुनः ॥ १७० ॥

śmaśānabhasmācitāṃte śaraṇyāya tataḥ param | ghaṃṭākapālamālādidharāyeti padaṃ punaḥ || 170 ||

Ensuite, qu’on récite la formule : «Au Refuge, dont le corps est enduit des cendres du lieu de crémation» ; puis, de nouveau, la formule : «À Celui qui porte cloche, crâne, guirlande et autres attributs.»
