Narada
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: vira
It frames the practice as both practical and dharmic: when performed on the prescribed days and in the correct way, it is said to help one ‘cross over’ (tāraka) distress, linking technical procedure with spiritual welfare.
Bhakti is implied through disciplined, faithful adherence to the stated vidhi (procedure). The verse emphasizes doing the practice ‘properly’ (samyak), reflecting devotional sincerity expressed as careful observance.
It highlights prayoga-vidhi—technical procedural knowledge tied to calendrical timing (vāsara/appointed days) and correct formulation (kalpanā), a hallmark of the Narada Purana’s Third Pada focus on applied sciences and ritual method.
