FAQs

The verse catalogs specific named mantra-śaktis (functional powers of sacred formulas), showing that Vedic-technical knowledge includes precise classifications and disciplined use, not merely vague devotion.

Indirectly: it frames ritual-mantric techniques as structured tools that must be subordinated to dharma and purity—supporting a bhakti-oriented life by emphasizing regulated practice rather than ego-driven display of powers.

A technical, śāstra-style enumeration used in ritual/mantra manuals—useful for correct identification and application of mantra-functions (e.g., attraction, dispersal, agitation, control) within disciplined rites.
