Rādhā-Related Mantras Explained
Sanatkumara (teaching Narada)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It formally introduces the second of the sixteen Nityā deities—Kāmeśvarī—framing her as a spiritually efficacious focus of worship who grants sought-after aims (kāma) within a structured Nityā-krama teaching.
Bhakti is implied through the instruction to “listen” and receive the deity’s teaching with reverence; devotion here takes a mantra–devatā form, where attentive hearing (śravaṇa) and deity-centered worship lead to fulfillment of legitimate aspirations.
The verse reflects technical, systematic classification—numbered deity-sequence (second among sixteen) and precise naming—akin to Vedāṅga-style organization used in ritual and mantra traditions for correct identification and application.
