Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: bhayanaka
It describes a technical ritual method (prayoga) where a geometric diagram (ṣaṭkoṇa) and a bīja-mantra are used with specified substances, reflecting the Purana’s coverage of applied sacred sciences (vidyā/kalpa-style procedures) within Book 1.3.
This verse is primarily procedural rather than devotional; it shows a ritual-technology approach. In the Narada Purana’s broader teaching, such rites are typically subordinate to dharma and inner discipline, whereas bhakti emphasizes remembrance and surrender over material implements.
It highlights practical ritual-application knowledge akin to Kalpa/prayoga traditions: constructing a yantra (ṣaṭkoṇa), deploying bīja-mantras, and selecting specific ritual substances for inscription.
