FAQs

It identifies Durgā as viṣṇu-māyā—Viṣṇu’s eternal divine power—showing that cosmic manifestation and concealment operate under the Supreme’s śakti, not independently.

By portraying even Durgā as connected to Viṣṇu’s power, it guides the devotee to see all divine functions as ultimately resting in the Supreme, strengthening single-pointed devotion without denying the Goddess’s role.

The verse mainly conveys purāṇic theology rather than a direct Vedāṅga rule; indirectly, it reflects the doctrinal framing used in Itihāsa–Purāṇa to interpret ritual and devotion through the lens of Viṣṇu’s śakti (māyā).
