The Account of Hanumān
मद्भक्तैः साहसं कर्म कृतं ज्ञात्वा वरप्रदम् । गत्वा पश्यामि हे विष्णो सर्वं तत्कृतसाहसम् ॥ ७७ ॥
madbhaktaiḥ sāhasaṃ karma kṛtaṃ jñātvā varapradam | gatvā paśyāmi he viṣṇo sarvaṃ tatkṛtasāhasam || 77 ||
«Sachant que Mes dévots ont accompli une action hardie, dispensatrice de grâces, ô Viṣṇu, j’irai contempler entièrement cet acte d’audace qu’ils ont accompli.»
Vishnu (addressed as 'O Vishnu' within the verse; the speaking voice refers to 'My devotees')
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: vira
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It highlights that sincere devotees can perform extraordinary, faith-driven acts that become 'varapradam'—occasions for divine favor—and that the Lord personally takes notice of such devotion.
Bhakti is shown as active and courageous: devotees act with wholehearted reliance on Viṣṇu, and the Lord responds by personally attending to and validating their devotional undertaking.
No specific Vedāṅga (Śikṣā, Vyākaraṇa, Chandas, Nirukta, Jyotiṣa, Kalpa) is directly taught in this verse; the emphasis is theological—on bhakti’s potency and the Lord’s boon-bestowing grace.
