क्षंतुमर्हसि देवेशि त्यक्तकोपा विलोकय । न बभाषेऽप्येवमुक्ता सारुंधत्या विनिर्ययौ ॥ १८७ ॥
kṣaṃtumarhasi deveśi tyaktakopā vilokaya | na babhāṣe'pyevamuktā sāruṃdhatyā viniryayau || 187 ||
«Ô Déesse, souveraine des dieux, daigne pardonner ; dépose ta colère et pose sur moi ton regard.» Mais, ainsi implorée, elle ne répondit pas et s’en alla avec Arundhatī.
