«Que Rāma soit exilé dans la forêt de Daṇḍaka durant quatorze ans.» À ces mots, moi aussi je partis vers la solitude des bois, accompagné de mon épouse et de mes jeunes frères.

It highlights steadfast acceptance of dharma amid adversity: exile is received as a mandate, and the resolve to follow the righteous course becomes the spiritual lesson.
By presenting Rama-kathā as a devotional frame: hearing of Rama’s exile evokes committed participation and service, reflecting bhakti expressed through loyalty, accompaniment, and shared hardship.
The verse mainly functions as Itihasa-based dharma instruction rather than a Vedanga technical point; its practical takeaway is ethical discipline—keeping vows and accepting ordained duty (dharma-niyama).
