Procedure for Lamp-Offering to Hanumān
Sanatkumara (in instruction to Narada on technical/ritual standards)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: none
It emphasizes ritual correctness (yathāvidhi) by defining standard measures, showing that dharma is upheld through precise, disciplined practice rather than guesswork.
While not directly teaching bhakti, it supports devotion in practice: offerings made with correct measures and proper vessels express reverence and sincerity in Vedic worship.
Kalpa/ritual procedure and its technical measurement vocabulary—how āḍhaka, droṇa, and khārī relate, applied to pātras used in the ṣaṭkarman (six ritual acts).
