Hanumān-mantra-kathana: Mantra-bheda, Nyāsa, Yantra, and Prayoga
रामदूतो लक्ष्मणांते प्राणदाताञ्जनीसुतः । सीताशोकविनाशोऽयं लंकाप्रासादभंजनः ॥ १०२ ॥
rāmadūto lakṣmaṇāṃte prāṇadātāñjanīsutaḥ | sītāśokavināśo'yaṃ laṃkāprāsādabhaṃjanaḥ || 102 ||
Il est le messager de Rāma ; au seuil de la mort de Lakṣmaṇa, il rendit la vie ; il est le fils d’Añjanī. Il dissipe la peine de Sītā et brise les palais de Laṅkā.
Narada (in a didactic recitation of epithets for remembrance/stuti)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: vira
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
The verse condenses Hanuman’s divine service—messengerhood, life-restoration, grief-destruction, and removal of hostile power—teaching that devotion expressed as selfless service becomes a protective, transformative spiritual force.
Bhakti is shown as dāsya (servant-devotion): Hanuman acts solely for Rama’s purpose, relieving Sita’s suffering and safeguarding Lakshmana—illustrating that true devotion is practical, courageous, and centered on the Lord’s will.
It emphasizes disciplined recitation and memorability through compact epithets (useful for pāṭha and smaraṇa), aligning with Śikṣā (proper recitation) and Vyākaraṇa-informed clarity of compounds used in stotra-style Sanskrit.
