आद्यं बीजं च हृच्छक्तिर्विनियोगोऽखिलाप्तये । षड्दीर्घभाजा बीजेन षडंगानि समाचरेत् ॥ ८ ॥

ādyaṃ bījaṃ ca hṛcchaktirviniyogo'khilāptaye | ṣaḍdīrghabhājā bījena ṣaḍaṃgāni samācaret || 8 ||

La première syllabe est le bīja ; la puissance du cœur (hṛcchakti) doit être mise en œuvre, et le viniyoga indiqué est l’obtention de tous les fruits. Avec ce bīja—pourvu de six voyelles longues—qu’on accomplisse selon la règle le rite aux six membres (ṣaḍaṅga).
